A comprehensive 1 hour session of dietetics was organized on the topic “Sarcopenia in CKD patients” by Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPIO) under International Lecture Series at 4:00 PM IST on Saturday, 11th May 2024 on a digital platform through zoom.
Reputed well known speakers Dr. Georgi Abraham, Professor and Consultant MGM Healthcare, Chennai spoke on “Medical management of Sarcopenia in CKD patients” and Mrs Zamurrud M Patel, HOD – Chief Dietician, Gleneagles Hospitals, Mumbai spoke on “Nutritional management of Sarcopenia in CKD patients“.
Dr Anita Jatana started the session by her opening remarks.
Dr. Ravindra Nikalji, Senior Consultant, Nephrologist, Renal Transplant Physician and Hypertension Specialist, Apollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai, has chaired the session and Ms Varsha Gorey, Senior Clinical Dietitian, Apollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai, has moderated the session.
The session was followed by 10 minutes question and answer round.
