Dr Anupama Chawla, Director, Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, President, National Board of Nutrition Physician Specialists, Director, Stony Brook Children’s Celiac Disease & Gluten Sensitivity Center, Co-Director, Healthy Weight and Wellness Center, Chair, Nutrition Committee, Stony Brook Medical Center, Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, Stony Brook Children’s Hospital Stony Brook, NY has been elected as the President of the “National Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists (NBPNS)”.

Dr Arun Prasad, Surgical Gastroenterology, Bariatric and Robotic Surgery, New Delhi, performed a Live High-Tech Robotic Bariatric surgery using AI Assisted Surgical Staplers, during annual world congress held by The International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO) held on August 28, 2023 held in Naples, Italy.

Dr Ashish Aneja, Senior Medical Officer, Kurukshetra University, received Unnat Bharat Sevashree Ratan Award 2023, New Delhi by Mata Mantari Devi Charitable Trust for his social services, awareness health check-up camps for the last 10 years in association with GAPIO and many national and international societies.

Dr Ashok Sharma, Consultant, Internal Medicine at New Delhi has been nominated for the Barnes Book Award 2023.

Dr Glory Alexander, Director, ASHA Foundation, has been appointed as a member of the Organising committee of the International AIDS Conference that is going to be held in Munich, Germany in the month of July 2024. The International AIDS Society is the world’s largest organisation of HIV Professionals with representatives from more than 170 countries.

Dr Keerti Singh, Lecturer, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Cave Hill campus, Barbados, University of the West Indies, has contributed the following:

a) July 5th 2023: Participated as assistant treasurer of Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners (BAMP) in the BAMP de Market: Know Yuh Numbers, an outreach activity of free health checks and health products giveaways.

b) July 22nd 2023:Elected as the Assistant Treasurer of the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners (BAMP) council for the year 2023-2024.

c) July 10th 2023: Invited to judge the conference Posters and Tech Fair Presentations for the Sandy Marks Poster Award and Ralph Ger Platform Presentation Awards, organized by the Career Development Committee of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists (AACA) during the AACA 2023 Annual Meeting held at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace, Disney Springs, Orlando, USA.

d) August 26th 2023 – installed as the Lieutenant Governor for Optimist International, Caribbean District Zone 10 for the optimist year 2023-2024, zone 10 territories include following countries – Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, and Barbados, during the annual OI convention held at Jamaica.

Dr Suresh Raghavaiah, Senior Consultant HPB and Multi-Organ Transplant Surgeon at Bangalore, has performed the first Liver Transplant surgery at St Johns’ Hospital, Bangalore after a gap of 25 years. Patient did well.

Dr V K Raju, Ophthalmologist and President and Founder, Eye Foundation of America, USA, was honored by “The Board of Trustees” of “American Academy of Ophthalmology” with “Life Achievement Honor Award” for his many years of distinguished service in the programs held by American Academy of Ophthalmology.
