A comprehensive 1:30 hour session of radiology was organized by Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPIO) under GAPIO Radiology International Lecture Series is organized a 1-hour live zoom session on “AI and Digital Health Transforming Radiology in India and Abroad” on Saturday, 12th July 2025 at 7:00 PM IST.
Reputed well known speakers Dr. Amit Gupta, Consultant Radiologist and AI Researcher, AIIMS New Delhi, delivered his talk on “Artificial Intelligence Model Validation and Performance Metrics: What Radiologists Should Know” and Mr. Sundar Kalyana, Clinical Director, GE Healthcare, Singapore, delivered his talk on “Digital Dexterity for Radiographers in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”.
Dr. Suresh Malayyath, Regional Coordinator (Asia-Australasia) for Professional Practice, International Society of Radiographers & Radiological Technologies, opened the session by his opening remarks.
Introduction of the topic was by Dr. Vasanth Venugopal, Professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad and Professor of Practice at Chettinad Hospital. He also chaired the session.
Prof. S Panneer Selvam, Adjunct Faculty of Medical Physics at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai moderated the session.
The session will conclude with a vote of thanks by Dr. Asutosh Sahu, Cardiothoracic Imaging and Emergency Radiology Specialist, Toronto, Canada.
The session followed by 10 minutes of question and answer.
