A comprehensive 1-hour session of Gastroenterology was organized by Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPIO) in collaboration with Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) under GAPIO – ISG International Lecture Series at 7:00 PM IST on Saturday, 9 May 2026 on “Docplexus” platform.
Reputed well known speakers Dr. Harikumar R Nair, Sr. Consultant in Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Head & Lead Clinician, Center for Excellence in Liver & Digestive Care, Welcare Hospital, Kochi spoke on the topic “Fatty Liver (MASLD): Who to Worry About?” and Dr. Prakash Zacharias, Senior Consultant, Medical Gastroenterology, Lisie Hospital, Kochi spoke on the topic “Detection of GI Cancers: What Every Physician Should Know?“.
Dr Mathew Philip, Secretary General – ISG started the session with his opening remarks and moderated the session and Dr Pramod Garg, President – ISG, HOD – Gastroenterology, AIIMS, New Delhi has chaired the session.
The session was followed by 10 minutes question and answer round.
