“Comprehensive Geriatric Care Session” at 07:00 PM IST

A comprehensive 2-hour session of Geriatric Care was organized by Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPIO) in collaboration with Geriatric Society of Trinidad and Tobago (GSTT) under GAPIO-GSTT International Lecture Series at 7:00 PM IST on Saturday, 23 May 2026 on “Docplexus” platform.
Reputed well known speakers Dr. Taureef Mohammed, Assistant Professor, Geriatric Medicine Division, Western University, Canada spoke on the topic “Healthy Aging and Interventions“, Dr. Ravi Ramlal, Interventional Cardiologist, Trinidad, Chairman – Clinical Governance Committee of the Board of Directors, NWRHA spoke on the topic “Healthy Heart Strategies for Seniors” and Prof Dr Jayanta Sharma, Senior Consultant, Apollo Multi Speciality Hospital, Kolkata, National Vice President, Geriatric Society of India spoke on the topic “Comprehensive Geriatric Care: Medical, Social and Legal Perspective”
Dr. O P Sharma, Secretary General, Geriatric Society of India and Sr. Consultant Geriatric Medicine, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi started the session with his opening remarks and chaired the session.
Dr. Lavanya Thondavada, President, Geriatric Society of Trinidad and Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago has moderated the session.
The session was followed by 10 minutes question and answer round.
