Day 3: Monday, July 21st – Maasai Mara Safari

• Morning: Early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara. This is the best time to see predators in action. Your experienced driver/guide will help you spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and numerous other wildlife species.
• Lunch: Return to your accommodation for lunch or enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush to maximize your safari time.
• Afternoon: Afternoon game drive, exploring different areas of the Maasai Mara and increasing your chances of encountering diverse wildlife.
• Evening: Dinner at your accommodation, perhaps followed by storytelling or cultural entertainment.

Day 4: Tuesday, July 22nd – Maasai Mara Safari

• Full Day Safari: Enjoy a full day of game drives in the Maasai Mara. You can choose to have an extended morning drive and afternoon drive or opt for a full-day excursion with a picnic lunch. This allows you to explore further reaches of the reserve and potentially witness more unique wildlife interactions.
• Optional Activities: Consider optional activities like a hot air balloon safari over the Mara (at an extra cost) for a breathtaking aerial view of the plains and wildlife.
• Evening: Farewell dinner at your accommodation, reflecting on your incredible safari experiences.

Day 5: Wednesday, July 23rd – Maasai Mara to Nairobi & Departure

• Morning (After Breakfast)
• Drive to Nairobi Enjoy the journey back to Nairobi.
• Maasai Market (Optional): Depending on your flight schedule and interest, you can visit the Maasai Market in Nairobi to browse and purchase local crafts, souvenirs, and artwork.
• Drop off at Nairobi Airport: You will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your departure.

Detailed SAFARI Plan:

Day 1: Saturday, July 19th – Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

• Morning (After Breakfast): Depart from your location in Nairobi (hotel or other agreed point).
• Drive to Lake Naivasha Enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley.
• Lake Naivasha Boating: Embark on a boat trip on Lake Naivasha. This is a fantastic opportunity to see hippos, diverse birdlife (including fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers), and possibly giraffes and other animals grazing along the shores.
• Crescent Island Walk: After the boat ride, take a leisurely walk on Crescent Island Sanctuary. This is a private island where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and various antelope species, offering excellent close-up wildlife viewing without predators.
• Accommodation: Check in to your accommodation in Naivasha (Lake Naivasha Resort)
• Evening: Dinner at your accommodation.

Day 2: Sunday, July 20th – Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara & Maasai Village Visit

• Morning (After Breakfast): Check out from your accommodation in Naivasha.
• Drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve Enjoy a scenic drive, with potential for wildlife sightings along the way as you approach the Mara.
• Lunch: Enjoy lunch enroute or at your accommodation in the Maasai Mara.
• Maasai Village Visit: Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the Maasai people. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about their traditions, customs, social structures, and perhaps witness traditional dances and crafts.
• Accommodation: Check in to your accommodation (Jambo Mara Lodge –Wooden Cottage).
