A comprehensive 1 hour session of Gastroenterology was organized by Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPIO) in collaboration with Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) under International Lecture Series at 7:00 PM IST on Saturday, 16th November 2024 on a digital platform through zoom.

Dr. Ashok Jhajharia, Associate Professor, Department of Gastroenterology, SMS Medical College & Hospital, Jaipur spoke on the topic “Management of Variceal Bleed ” and Dr. P Piramanayagam, Consultant, Medical Gastroenterology, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai spoke on the topic “Clinical Approach to MASLD (Metabolic Dysfunction Associated Liver Disease)“.

Dr. Mathew Philip, Secretary General – ISG, is the mentor of the session and started the session with his opening remarks.

Dr. Shibi Mathew, Senior Consultant – Gastroenterology, Lisie Institute of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Transplantation, Lisie Hospital, Kochi, has chaired the session and Dr. Ramesh M, Senior Consultant and Head– Medical Gastroenterology, Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai – Kottayam, Kerala has moderated the session.

The session was followed by 10 minutes question and answer round.
