Honorary GAPIO Fellow

Criteria for grant of title of Honorary GAPIO Fellow
The title will be an honorary title and granted in 3 categories:

1.    GAPIO Fellow
2.    GAPIO Distinguished Fellow
3.    GAPIO Emeritus Fellow

Criteria

1. GAPIO Fellow

Applicant must have an attachment with a reputed and renowned national or international healthcare institution
Applicant must have Clinical / Professional/ Teaching experience of minimum 20 years
Applicant must have published at least 05 research papers as first author in peer reviewed national or international print journal with an impact factor of more than 2
Applicant must have authored atleast 2 chapters in Textbook
Applicant must have won a National or International award
Representation in National/ International Organization / Committees/ Bodies/
Institutions
15 or more lectures (non sponsored)

2. GAPIO Distinguished Fellow

Applicant must have an attachment with a reputed and renowned national or international healthcare institution
Applicant must have Clinical / Professional/ Teaching experience of minimum 30 years
Applicant must have published 10 research papers as first author in peer reviewed national or international print journal with an impact factor of more than 2
Applicant must have authored 5 chapters in Textbook
Applicant must have won a National or International award
Representation in National/ International Organization / Committees/ Bodies/ Institutions
25 or more lectures (non sponsored)
Editorial position / oration / patent would add weightage

3. GAPIO Emeritus Fellow

Age – Minimum 70 years as on 31^st October 2023
Applicant must have an attachment with a reputed and renowned national or international healthcare institution
Applicant must have Clinical / Professional/ Teaching experience of minimum 45 years
Applicant must have published 25 research papers as first author in peer reviewed national or international print journal with an impact factor of more than 2
Applicant must have authored atleast 10 chapters in Textbook
Applicant must have won two or more National or International award
Representation in National / InternationalOrganization/ Committees/ Bodies/ Institutions
25 or more lectures (non sponsored)
Minimum one registered patent in his/ her name
Oration given if any (oration can substitute the criteria mention at point 5, 7, 8)

Expectations from Fellows

GAPIO Fellow will be invited to deliver lectures in the area of his speciality during any academic session, midyear or annual conference organized by GAPIO or its partners /collaborators
Interested Fellow will be nominated to different sub committees.
Interested Fellow will be requested to connect with students, young doctors both from India and overseas to act as mentor
Interested Fellow will be requested to helpin creation / writing of position papers
Interested Fellow will be requested to engage in community service medical camps
