Dr Devendra Kumar Gupta, Former Professor and Head, Department of Pediatric Surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi, former Vice-Chancellor – KGMU, Lucknow, Director and CEO: Postgraduate Institute of Child health, Noida, has delivered the following lecture / talk:

  1. Invited by the Franco- Congolese Association and the Ministry of Health, Democratic Republic of Congo to visit for charity at the children hospital Kinshasa and deliver lectures (5), demonstrate surgical techniques and submit the proposal to Establish a new 450 Bed, University Institute of Child Health.
  2. Invited to deliver Guest lectures (2), and participate in the other academic programs at the Sydney Children Hospital, University of New South Wales.
  3. Invited to deliver Master Class lectures (2) by the Deptt of Pediatric Surgery, University of Bolognia Italy, in the Workshop held during the International Congress of Pediatric Urology.
  4. Invited as Guest of Honor and also to deliver the Guest Lecture on -Alcohol – Use and Abuse, at the India Club Meeting, Rouse Hill, Sydney for creating general awareness on risks of Alcohol consumption.
  5. Invited to the TV Talk -Total Health (India), on Advances in surgery for malformations in Newborns and children, in India, for creating awareness amongst the General public.

Dr Kandamaran Krishnamurthy, Consultant Pediatric- Intensive Care Unit from Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados has published the following paper:

Dr Karan Thakur, Vice President, Sustainability, ESG & Public Affairs at New Delhi, has published a policy paper titled “Resilient Health Infrastructure and Disaster Risk Reduction: Experiences from the Global South”. The paper was published by the G20 Secretariat’s T20 initiative in June 2023.

Dr Keerti Singh, lecturer in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Cave Hill campus, Barbados, University of the West Indies, has been elected as the incoming Lieutenant Governor for Optimist International Caribbean District, zone 10 for the Optimist year 2024. The optimists clubs under jurisdiction include all OI clubs in the following countries- Barbados, Trinidad &Tobago and Antigua and Barbuda.

Dr Naveen Thacker, Director – Deep Children Hospital Research & Centre, President, International Pediatric Association has been honored as one of the ‘Torchbearers of India’ on Doctors Day Conclave 2023, by Economic Times, ET Edge and Medwiz Healthcare Communications.

He is appointed as a Board Member representing the Health Care Professional Associations (HCPA) Constituency in the PMNCH Board. He represented the International Pediatric Association (IPA).

Dr Om Ganda, Medical Director, Lipid Clinic, Investigator, Clinical Research, Senior Faculty, Global Education and Care, Joslin Diabetes Center; Associate Profesor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School has received “MACE Award” at the Annual Scientific Meetings of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, Seattle, WA, USA on May 6, 2023.

Dr Saroj Kumar Pattnaik, Sr. Consultant, Critical Care Medicine at Bhubaneswar has published an original article titled “Diagnostic Accuracy of Cerebrospinal Fluid Presepsin as a Marker of Bacterial Meningitis in Patients with External Ventricular Drainage – A Cross-Sectional Study in a Tertiary Intensive Care Unit” in Apollo Medicine journal in the recent publication, Jul-Sep 2023 – Volume 20 – Issue 3.

Dr Suchitra Ranjit, Senior Consultant, PICU at Chennai, has published a first author publication in Lancet Child and Adolescent Health (Impact fact 37).

Dr Suchitra has also been invited to serve in the international taskforce writing group to prepare the next iteration of the Surviving Sepsis Guidelines for Children.

Dr V K Raju, Ophthalmologist and president and founder, Eye Foundation of America, USA, President, Eye Foundation of America was honored by First lady Cherie Blair at a glittering function on Friday, June 23 evening at the House of Lords commemorating the UN International Widows Day organized by the Loomba Foundation led by Lord Raj Loomba as a Loomba fellow for the mission work around the world on empowering widows.

Dr Raju has been saluted as a humanitarian, change agent, and healthcare advocate by Agraj Seva Kendra during its Heritage Day Celebration at the East Brunswick Public Library on May 19, 2023.

Dr Raju has been acknowledged by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey and commended him for immeasurable contribution he has made as Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at West Virginia University, as Director of the International Ocular Surface Society, and as the eminent founder and President of the Eye Foundation of America, a superb nonprofit dedicated to the eradication of childhood blindness.

Dr Raju has been appreciated as the author of 300 academic papers, 100 scholarly publications and the upcoming tome, “Musings on Medicine, Myth and History: India’s Legacy,” co-written with his daughter.

Dr Vemuri S Murthy, Adjunct Faculty, Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois, and Advisor, Odisha Government (Health and Family Welfare), received the 2023 Telugu Association of North America (TANA) “Excellence in Medicine” Award for exemplary achievements and contributions on July 7, 2023, at the TANA Convention in Philadelphia, PA.  The Award was presented by the former Vice-President of India, Hon’ble Mr Venkaiah Naidu.

Dr Zia Arshad, Department of Anaesthesiology & Critical Care, King George’s Medical University, Lucknow has been welcomed as the Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
